School Implementation Model

1. Current Training 75 schools in about 70 villages scattered around Baramati, Indapur, Ballarpur in Maharashtra State and Yamunanagar in Hariyana State have been identified for implementation. Through this process approx 8000 students are covered by the program.

2. Time Allocation Based On Student Nos. Depending on the student nos. in a school, the Mobile Computer Van will implement the program in a school for approx 2 hours per 100 students. This allows 184 hrs of Program Implementation per week, covering 8000 students.

3. Van Routes The Mobile Computer Van routes were charted out by VIIT; as per the school’s geographic position and student nos. Care has been taken to ensure minimum travel and maximum implementation time per Van Route. Presently Seven buses are active in Seven different routes across Pune and Chandrapur district in Maharashtra and Yamunanagar district in Yamunanagar State.

4. Computer Education Timetable Computer Education timetable per school and classes are circulated amongst the schools to give 80 hours of computer education which includes 30 hrs of theory and 300 hrs of practical throughout the year.

•  Start-Shut down
•  Mousing-Keyboarding

Moving upto

• MS word, MS Paint
• Scanner
• Sound Recorder

Students will be:

• Able to use MS Paint, MS Word effectively to develop their skills.
• Able to use peripherals smoothly.
• Able to apply skills for day life situations.

Year 2 - For 6th:

 Beginning from:

• Computer Fundamentals.
• Introduction to Windows.
• Forming Logos.

Moving upto

• Multimedia
• Mousing Skills
• Keyboard Practical.

Students will be

• Able to use skills buy using multimedia.
• Able to operate basic commands.
• Practical KP Typing Tutor.

Year 3 - For 7th:

Outcome-oriented, age-appropriate & need-based

Beginning from:

• Using Spreadsheets
• Basics in Computer Programming

Moving upto

• Creating simple small programs in QBASIC
• Making a website
• Current topics
• Self-learning facilities over the web
• Hardware troubleshooting
